Compliment Challenge

Ok, here's a challenge for you for this week (and every week for the rest of your life, :-).

Pick three people (one of them needs to be a stranger), and give them a sincere, specific compliment (Not "I like your shoes." Make it something specific).

Note your reactions and theirs. Then tell us all about it below in your comments. Comm 150 class, you have an official write-up you will need to do (See Coursework Menu in I-Learn).

HAPPY COMPLIMENTING!

  1. Sister E, thank you so much for having us read "The Doer of our Deeds and the Speaker of our Words". That talk was one of the most inspiring things I have read in a long time. I really enjoyed it. I found that it really applied to me. Thanks again

Sis Embree I have been completing the project of complimenting others and it has been intresting to hear and see their reactions. I complimented a lady at the dentist today and she was shocked like what did you say. in a good way of corse but still it was intresting.

Wow, what a response I got. I did this to a guy a talked to a short period on campus. He looked at me with a look of almost confused. It just goes to show that compliments are hard to come by now days.

  4. I've been the recipient of random compliments before so I know how it catches you off guard. In a very positive way. This is the most simple, but beneficial assignment I've ever had.

  5. Giving compliments to random guys is wierd. I did it for fun and to see his reaction and he gave me the wierdest look. I kept walking and i just kind of laughed. Girls would smile and say "thank you" its great.
